Justification for the Variance of Accomplishment

MFO1: HIGHER EDUCATION SERVICES

PI 1.) In the total number of graduates in mandated and priority program of the 2,100 enrolment target for 2016 for the nine (9) campuses, it only improved by 54 giving a 1.03% enrolment percentage when multiplied by 100 which is equal to 103 accomplishment rate. This result can be attributed to the transition period for K-12 implementation when this 54 enrolment were first year and no more enrolment in the second year college.

PI 2.) (Similar justification to PI 1).

PI 3.) The university set a 50.00 % target for the passing % in licensure examination and the 51.67% out of the 53.02% national passing percentage which registered a 1.94 when multiplied by 100 equals 194%. This can be attributed to factors like the kind of students taking the licensure examination, and the remediation and other intervention activities conducted in preparation for the licensure examination.

PI 4.) This is the result of the OBE Level IV-Phase I Accreditation of the five (5) programs of CapSU Pontevedra (2) and Burias (3). The Level IV-OBQA Instrument is really hard to comply due to best practices required for almost all benchmark statements. Of the 2 programs of Pontevedra, only 2 out of the 10 areas passed and of the 3 programs of Burias Campus, one (1) passed in 3 areas, however the 2 programs only retained the last level of accreditation.

PI 5.) The university set a target of 90%, however, a 96% accomplishment was achieved. This gave a 106.67% accomplishment rate. This result can be attributed to the guidance provided to the students. Constant and efficient follow-up of students’ activities to help problem students graduate their respective academic programs on prescribed timeframe. Various scholarships grants provided by CHED, DOST, LGUs and other promote agencies also contributed to the increase on number of graduates on the prescribed timeframe.

MFO 2: ADVANCED EDUCATION

PI 1) Of the 60% target for 2016, 101% was achieved with a 168.33% accomplishment rate. The higher accomplishment rate can be attributed to the minimum requirements of a master’s degree to instructor position in addition to the promotion requirements set by other agencies.
